These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and online store operated by Composed Lifestyle, operating under the brand composed. (“composed.”, “we”, “us” or “our”), including any purchase of products, use of customer accounts, customer-support interactions and other services made available through the website (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, placing an order, creating an account or otherwise interacting with composed., you agree to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy and Returns, Exchanges & Refunds Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility and use of the Services

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes.

You agree not to:

use the website for fraudulent, unlawful or abusive activity;
interfere with the operation or security of the Services;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts or data;
copy, scrape, reproduce or commercially exploit website content without permission;
upload or transmit malicious code or harmful material; or
use the Services in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

Where you create or use a customer account, you are responsible for keeping access to that account secure and for information submitted through it.

3. Product information

We make reasonable efforts to present product information accurately.

Product descriptions may include information such as:

fibre composition;
approximate fabric weight;
fit;
colour;
size;
construction details;
care information; and
other relevant specifications.

Because screens and devices display colours differently, the appearance of a product on your screen may not exactly match the physical product.

Measurements may also have reasonable manufacturing tolerances.

Where a characteristic is described as “approximate”, such as fabric GSM, the stated figure should be understood as an approximate product specification rather than an absolute measurement for every individual garment.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights where a product is materially different from what was represented, defective, damaged or incorrect.

4. Product availability

All products are subject to availability.

Adding a product to your cart does not reserve inventory.

An order is not guaranteed merely because payment has been attempted or because an item was displayed as available at an earlier stage.

If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we may contact you to offer an appropriate resolution, which may include a refund.

5. Pricing and taxes

Prices displayed on the website are shown in Indian Rupees unless otherwise stated.

Where indicated, prices include applicable taxes.

We may change product prices at any time, but price changes do not normally affect an order already validly placed and accepted.

Any legally required maximum retail price, tax disclosure or other statutory product information will be displayed or provided as applicable.

6. Payment

composed. currently accepts prepaid online orders only.

Cash on Delivery is not available at launch.

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.

Your order is considered placed after successful payment and order confirmation, subject to these Terms and product availability.

We do not ordinarily store complete payment-card credentials where those credentials are collected directly by the relevant payment provider.

7. Order acceptance

An automated order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order.

We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases involving:

payment failure;
suspected fraud or misuse;
obvious pricing or listing error;
unavailable stock;
incorrect customer information that prevents fulfilment;
legal or regulatory restrictions; or
circumstances where fulfilment is not reasonably possible.

If we cancel a prepaid order that has not been fulfilled, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

8. Order cancellations

Retail orders may generally be cancelled for a full refund before the parcel has been physically handed over to the courier.

Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation may no longer be available.

9. Shipping and delivery

Shipping is governed by our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

At launch:

orders are prepaid only;
standard shipping is free across serviceable Indian pincodes;
standard unaltered retail orders normally dispatch within 1–2 working days;
delivery typically takes 3–7 working days after dispatch; and
some remote and Northeast locations may take approximately 7–10 working days after dispatch.

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.

Courier delays caused by weather, transport interruptions, local restrictions, high-volume periods or other circumstances outside our direct control may occur.

Tracking information will be shared once available after dispatch.

10. Failed delivery and return-to-origin shipments

Customers are responsible for providing:

a complete and accurate delivery address;
a reachable phone number; and
reasonable cooperation with courier delivery attempts.

If a prepaid shipment returns to us due to repeated customer unavailability, refusal of an otherwise correct and undamaged parcel, an incorrect customer-provided address or inability to contact the recipient, we may offer:

re-dispatch upon payment of a ₹99 logistics fee; or
a refund after return of the parcel, less a ₹99 return-to-origin logistics fee.

No such fee applies where the failed delivery is attributable to composed. or the courier, or where refusal was reasonably based on visible damage or tampering.

11. Returns and exchanges

Retail returns and exchanges are governed by our Returns, Exchanges & Refunds Policy.

For eligible standard retail orders:

return requests may be made within 7 calendar days of delivery;
exchange requests may be made within 7 calendar days of delivery;
the first qualifying size-exchange cycle per order is complimentary, subject to stock availability;
voluntary returns for reasons such as change of mind, fit preference or colour preference carry a ₹99 reverse-pickup fee per approved return request, not per item; and
no logistics charge applies where the issue is due to a genuine defect, damage, incorrect item or composed. error.

Items must satisfy the eligibility conditions stated in the Returns, Exchanges & Refunds Policy.

12. Refunds

Where a refund is approved following inspection, it will be initiated to the original payment method in accordance with our Returns, Exchanges & Refunds Policy.

We normally initiate eligible refunds within 2 working days after successful inspection.

Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to reflect the amount, commonly around 5–7 business days after initiation.

13. Damaged, defective or incorrect products

If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect product, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

We prefer such issues to be reported within 48 hours of delivery so they can be reviewed quickly, but this preference does not operate as an automatic rejection cutoff for a genuine claim.

Clear photographs may help us investigate the issue.

An unboxing video is not mandatory for a genuine claim.

Where the issue is confirmed to be attributable to composed., we will provide an appropriate remedy without charging you return logistics.

14. Manufacturing defects after use or washing

A genuine manufacturing defect that becomes apparent after reasonable wear or washing may be reviewed up to 30 days from delivery, subject to the nature of the issue and reasonable inspection.

Normal wear, accidental damage, misuse, failure to follow care instructions or damage caused by the customer is not treated as a manufacturing defect.

15. Optional alteration service

Where offered and accepted by composed., optional alterations are limited to:

body-length shortening; and
sleeve-length shortening.

Current alteration charges, where offered, are:

₹149 for one alteration; or
₹199 for both body and sleeve shortening,

inclusive of applicable taxes.

Altered garments are generally final sale for issues arising from customer-selected measurements, sizing preference or change of mind.

However, this does not limit remedies where:

composed. carries out the alteration incorrectly;
the garment is defective;
the wrong item is supplied; or
the finished alteration materially differs from the confirmed instruction.

If a composed. alteration error results in an approved refund, the relevant alteration charge will also be refunded.

Altered orders normally dispatch within 3–5 working days after alteration details are confirmed.

16. composed. for Teams

composed. for Teams is separate from standard D2C retail purchasing.

Team Orders:

use the composed. core garment as the starting product;
retain composed. product identity;
are not private-label or white-label manufacturing;
may involve approved customisation depending on feasibility; and
are quoted and operationally planned separately from normal retail inventory where possible.

Retail return, exchange and alteration terms do not automatically apply to Team Orders.

For Team Orders, the applicable:

garment specification;
quantity;
customisation;
pricing;
tolerances;
production timeline;
delivery arrangement;
payment terms; and
return or remediation conditions

will be governed by the relevant quotation, written specification or order confirmation.

composed. remains responsible for genuine defects, incorrect goods and material deviations from agreed specifications.

17. Collaborations

Collaborations are separate from standard Team Orders.

A collaboration is a selective co-created project between composed. and another organisation, creator, brand, community or partner.

Commercial, production and intellectual-property terms for collaborations will be agreed separately in writing where applicable.

18. Promotions, discount codes and special offers

Any promotion, discount or special offer may be subject to separate conditions.

Unless otherwise stated:

discounts cannot be exchanged for cash;
discount codes may be limited to one use, certain products or certain customers;
offers may have expiry dates;
promotions may be withdrawn where there is misuse or an obvious error; and
discount eligibility does not override product availability.

Where a promotional condition conflicts with these Terms, the specific promotional condition will apply to that promotion to the extent stated.

19. Accuracy of website information

We aim to keep website information accurate and current, but occasional errors may occur.

This may include errors involving:

product descriptions;
prices;
stock status;
images;
dimensions;
typographical information; or
availability.

Where we identify a material error affecting an order, we may contact you before fulfilment and provide an appropriate resolution.

20. Intellectual property

The website and its content, including but not limited to:

the composed. name and branding;
logos and marks;
photographs;
product imagery;
graphics;
text;
layout;
design elements; and
original creative material

are owned by, licensed to or lawfully used by Composed Lifestyle unless otherwise stated.

You may use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping and informational purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, commercially exploit or create derivative works from our protected content without permission.

21. User-submitted content and communications

If you voluntarily submit feedback, testimonials, reviews, photographs, suggestions or other content to us, you confirm that you have the right to submit that material.

We will not claim ownership of your personal communications merely because you contact us.

If we wish to use customer-created content publicly for marketing or promotional purposes, we may seek appropriate permission where required.

22. Third-party services and links

The Services may use or link to services provided by third parties, including Shopify, payment providers, courier services, analytics tools, advertising services and social platforms.

Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not control, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

23. Availability of the website

We aim to keep the Services available, but continuous or uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

We may temporarily suspend, modify or restrict access for:

maintenance;
security;
technical issues;
system upgrades;
legal requirements; or
circumstances outside our reasonable control.

24. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

Subject to that qualification, composed. will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable from the transaction or use of the Services.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused entirely by events outside our reasonable control, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms limits our responsibility for:

supplying materially incorrect goods;
genuine product defects;
fraud;
wilful misconduct; or
other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

25. Consumer rights

These Terms are intended to operate alongside, not replace, rights available to consumers under applicable law.

The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 apply broadly to goods and services sold through e-commerce in India, including inventory-model and single-brand e-commerce retail.

If any provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory right you have under applicable law, the mandatory legal right will prevail to the extent of that conflict.

26. Privacy

Our collection and processing of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Please review the Privacy Policy for information about:

what personal information we collect;
how we use it;
how it may be disclosed;
cookies and advertising technologies;
Shopify processing;
data retention; and
your privacy rights and choices.

27. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in:

our Services;
products;
operational practices;
policies;
legal requirements; or
technology.

Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised “Last updated” date.

Changes do not retroactively remove rights already accrued in relation to an earlier transaction unless permitted by applicable law.

28. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute will remain subject to applicable consumer-protection law and the jurisdiction of competent courts or consumer dispute-resolution authorities.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict a consumer from approaching a forum or authority that they are legally entitled to approach.
